- choose the best name for your baby
- fill up the birth registration form and submit to the IC dept.
- get your baby's birth certificate and MyKid card
- inform your confinement lady that you have given birth or
- check in to the confinement centre which you have placed deposit with
- if you opt for a confinement centre, then you will be more relaxed and less worried because everything has been prepared for and you just need to bring your baby and your personal belongings (clothes, sarong, slippers, skincare, slimming gel, toiletries, sanitary pad, disposable panties).
- if you opt to stay at home and engage a confinement lady, then you have to remind your husband to buy all the necessary groceries such as meat, vegetable, condiments, lots of ginger, lemongrass, cooking oil, sufficient gas for cooking, etc.....
- For baby : baby clothes, nappies, mittens and socks, feeding bottles, toiletries, bath tub, waterproof mattress liner, baby cot with beddings, night light
- For mother : breast pump, breast pad, sanitary pads, disposable panties, nursing bra, lanolin cream.
